FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We hope you will find the answer to your question here. If you can’t find an answer here, we are always happy to hear from you!
What does a 100% Canadian mean?
It means that our office AND manufacturing is located in Canada (specifically Orangeville, Ontario). That means that nothing is made off shore, it’s made to order in Canada and shipped to you from Canada. No Duties. No Tariffs. No Exchange rates. No Brokerage fees. Just great customer service and quality costumes!
Who can order from Knights?
Any studio or club-dance, gymnastics, twirling, Irish dance, cheer/pom, schools, bands, theatrics, etc. Unfortunately, we cannot accept orders from students or parents.
How do I receive a catalogue?
Please email us your request including your studio name and address.
Are your costumes available for purchase in stores?
We are a made to order company so we do not sell our costumes in stores. We make your costume choices to order.
How do I clean my costume?
Hand washing is always the safest way to wash dance costumes and to lay flat to dry. Avoid washing anything with feathers or appliques attached.
For more specific fabrics:
Cotton, Velvet, Supplex, Spandex: May be machine washed in cold water and hung to dry.
Mystique and Foil fabrics: Can be washed in cold water and hung to dry (although hand washing is preferable). Remember that washing can cause the finish of these fabrics to dull over time.
Glitter fabrics: Turn inside out and hand wash, hang to dry.
Organdy and Tulle fabrics: It is not recommended to wash these fabrics/tutus etc. They may be spot cleaned as needed.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depends on box size and weight, please call for details. We offer free shipping on orders over $2500!
If we have an idea that is not in your catalogue can we request it?
In the past we have been able to accommodate requests however, unfortunately, this year we are unable to accommodate new pattern requests. If there is an idea you would like us to add to our catalogue for the next season, please do not hesitate to send it our way!
How are Unique fabrics and Lace fabrics priced?
Both of these fabrics as well as Powernets and Wetlooks are priced the same as Spandex.
What is the best way to measure our students?
Follow our measuring guidelines found in the back of the technical catalogue or on our measurements page found here. Please take care to measure properly otherwise costumes may not have the best possible fit if you guess on sizing. If you have questions about finding the best fit, please feel free to contact us for advice. When in doubt between two sizes, size up-since our costumes are designed to fit snug to the body and with a bigger size, if needed, alterations are easier for a local seamstress.
